Read the this article. Why do the democrats think they can gain some seats in the House of Representatives? Why might it be difficult to achieve? How should Democrats do to help their cause? What should Republicans do to help their cause? How is it possible Congress has awful approval ratings yet most representatives get re-elected? What could fix this?

Why do the democrats think they can gain some seats in the House of Representatives? They believe that they will gain more seats in the House of Representatives because people are not having much faith in the Republicans. They shut down the government to stop the Care Plan, most of the people thought the shutdown was pointless because they lost $300 million a day.

Why do the democrats think they can gain some seats in the House of Representatives? In upcoming elections the democrats are feeling very positive about gaining some seats in the House of Representatives, this is due to the polls plummeting caused by the government shutdown. The republicans are not looking good and have lost a lot of credibility. Why might it be difficult to achieve? Democrats did not handle the situation in a proper manner. What could fix this? The government shutdown was due to the fact the Republicans filibustered and did not act accordingly, they wanted to due away with Obama care at any coast without caring about the american people. Democrats have the right to gain seats in the House of Representatives.

In this article, "Democrats take aim at House GOP seats," writer Carlolyn Lochhead discusses the volatile state of the House of Representatives, focussing on a number of particularly vulnerable members from both the Democratic and Republican parties. Lochhead elaborates on ideas within the Democratic party that the Democrats will be able to take over the House of Representatives. They believe they have a chance at this goal because of a number of swing districts in states like California with more liberal tendencies. However, though this takeover seems feasible, a House of Representatives with a Democratic majority does not seem likely for the time being. Democrats would need to gain 17 seats to regain majority, and with only a few Republican representatives with their post at stake, this gap in leadership becomes exceedingly difficult to bridge.

With the current government shutdown going on, the democrats believe that they can use it as leverage for the next elections. Only being behind by 17 members, the democrats will try to pass up the republicans in the house. In order for this to work, not only will the democrats need to win over the swing districts, but they also have to win over some of the current republican districts.

The democrats think they can use the recent government shut down to their advantage to win over some votes from the House of Representatives. They will do this by focusing on California and trying to per sway as many people as they can. With 17 more seats needed it will be practically impossible for them to win. This will be difficult to achieve because most people are opposed making it extremely difficult to fill the remaining 17 seats. But the democrats also have to hold on to all the seats thy currently have in order to even have a fighting chance.
