Social Security is trust funds. Druckenmiller's agrument is to let congress take care of our social securitites until they figure out how to handle them. His alternative to SS is let congress take care of our social security and protect us. His counter agrument point is letting college students take care of their own social security. Congress since they have to fight for our country and the right to protect it.

The issue about social security has always been a big debate since the day it was created. First of all what is social security it is when a person stops working and gose into retirment the goverment gives that person money to live off of where that money comes from is the the young people when people pay taxes the goverment takes a big cut of money from you and gives it to social security now to young people that preety much sucks but for old people there yeah free money the issue on weather to discontinue this program has been a hot topic for many years. personaly i would like to see social security be discontinued.

Social security is primarily the old-age, survivors, and disability insurance federal program which encompasses several social welfare and social insurance programs which is funded through payroll taxes. Stanely Druckenmiller argues those who were a part of the baby boom are now old people taking away federal money from young people who are in need of education and medical research. Therefore, Druckenmiller feels that young people should get the social benefits more than older people. Children who have had a deceased, or disable parent that can no longer work to pay expenses should receive financial help from social security. Even though it is misleading that young people will still grow old and receive federal money we are not certain if it will change in time.

Social security is a government run financial system that gives benefits to those that may not be able to support themselves or a family on their own. The government gives money to those who are old and retired or disabled and need assistance. These people would truly suffer if the benefits of social security were cut.

Social security is a program that uses public funds to provide economic security for individuals who are incapable of supporting themselves; for example, retired and or disabled individuals. The program accounts for about 20% of federal spending. Druckenmiller, a retired hedge fund manager, argues that spending on social security will result in less federal money for the young. He basically believes that the old are stealing from the young. The youth would greatly benefit from druckenmiller's argument due to the fact that there will be more money to spend on things the country needs: education, infrastructure, the environment and medical research. Nancy Altman, however, argues that social security is the largest children's program. She argues that many children that are put into a nonsupporting condition receive the benefit of social security. Isabel Sawhill, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, says, "We're all old at one point in our lives and we're all young at one point in our lives." How would the youth benefit in the future without social security? Overall, time changes and people age; that being said, don't take away what can later benefit you in the future, more importantly, don't take away what's supporting many other individuals right now.

Social Security is a source of income, by the government, for retired, unemployed, or disabled people. Druckenmiller's argument is that the government is using too much money on senior citizens, instead of adequately using the money for the future seniors. His alternative to SS would be to give more benefits to the future seniors of America. The main people that would benefit from his thinking would be the younger citizens. Parents of younger citizens would enjoy this idea as well because they wouldn't have to worry about spending too much money on their children thanks to the government. The counter argument to this point is that everybody becomes a senior at some point. Therefor it evens out. Isabel Sawhill is a senior fellow at the Brooklyn Institution says, "So when we talk about the elderly stealing from the kids, it's a bit misleading because it can all even out over time." I believe that Sawhill is correct. The elderly work hard and they deserve to retire in peace. The youth will get their chance once they become old and sagacious and in the end, everybody will have social security benefits when they're old. Nobody left out, whether senior or child.

Stanley Druckenmiller makes an important argument regarding current social security problems foreshadowing the crisis that will likely come with the retirement of the baby boomers. Social security spending has been increasing since the 1990s, creating a threat to the entire United States, especially the young people. As the mass number of baby boomers begin to retire, the social security spending will likely become obsolete. As Nancy Altman states, social security important for all Americans not just those who are retiring. In fact, eight percent of the children receive social security benefits.
